Make Better Decisions:
- Develop routines — eliminate stress and conserve energy for important decisions
- People spend three to four hours a day resisting desire
- When mentally depleted, you’re more likely to make trade-offs
- Make important decisions in the morning, before you experience “ego depletion”
- Small decisions add up quickly, eroding good-decision making and introducing fatigue
- Make time for adequate sleep, eating healthfully and exercising
- Our unconscious plays a key role in helping us make good decisions (Sleep on it)
- Talk to others
- Plan ahead, not overwhelming yourself with choices, and conserving your energy
- Prepare for moments of weakness — avoid them
